Some good advice on this page

YJ Coil Spring Conversion - JeepForum.com

If you want coil springs I'd just pickup a Tj. Unless you already worked your ride a ton.

I have a rust free frame with a Pro Comp Coil Conversion 5" Lift installed that I am selling. I priced the Coil kit and it's almost $1900 for the kit. I'm selling the kit, installed on a rust free frame with axles and asking $2000. DJ

you may want to wait a bit. i saw in a magazine olympic had a yj coil conversion kit at sema. i emailed them they said itll be ready in may. no price released yet. might be worth waiting for another month to see what they got to offer.

you would probably come off cheaper and more dialed into what you want if you just build it yourself vs a kit

I don't have to time for that right now it's my daily and plus I'm gunna be putting a diesel in it so I would rather just buy a kit

What about just finding a TJ getting parted out and cutting out the coil parts? It doesnt seem like you would need to buy a kit if you know how to weld. I have seen TJ frames go for cheap on CL. Any reason that wouldnt work? I figure you could just cut them off the frame and weld the parts onto the YJ frame. Although I have no plans to do a coil over, I have wondered why people dont do that.
