yj dash question

Does anyone know if the YJ, a 92 with a 4.0l and ax-15 exactly, will start and run with the dash removed? I know the steering column needs to be connected, but what about the speedometer and gauge cluster?

This is just to move the jeep across the street, not for "on road" driving.

There isnt anything in the electrical part of the gauges that would prevent the Jeep to be driven.

I see no reason that you couldnt just start it up and drive it.
