YJ four link

Ok i need to start this with a brief history. I have a 1988 YJ with a vortex engine swap. I swapped out the rear axle with an 8.8 and put a 6 inch skyjacker mono lift and there fifth link on it. After acting stupid one day spinning my tires I twisted my axle housing and bent one of the mono leaf springs. I contacted skyjacker and purchased a new the leaf to replace the bent one. I also replaced the 8.8 axle. I wanted to take precautionary steps to keep this from happening again and contacted Ballistic Fabrication and explained what I have and what had happened. I was wondering if one of there four links would keep this from happening. They where more than happy to sell me one. Once I got the four link in I realized that this wasn't all that I needed to fix the problem. I purchased an axle truss to complete this phase of my never ending build. My question is there anyone out there running a four link using leaf springs and should I put a shackle on the front of the rear leafs. I really don't want to scrap the mono lift and go to coils. I also live in south louisiana which is mud country so rock crawling that requires major articulation is not in my near future.

Also, if you are SOA or mono-leaf, you need to run a rear traction bar to avoid axle wrap.
