So i am looking to replace my factory gauges on my 1995 jeep 4.0 Se and I'm trying to find a gauge set up that will allow me to splice directly into the factory harness and install the new gauges. Cant seem to find anything.

i know the gauges run off resistance and fuel 0 ohms = full and 88 = empty so need to find a gauge that reads the same. Does anybody know any that would work? also the specs for the other gauges if you have them or know of another thread
Thanks in advance and ill post pics and all the details of how I do it.
Using a dremel currently to cut diamond plate from home depot to build a whole new dash basically cheap!

I don't know where to get any gauges but I ordered a set of LED dash lights in red to brighten it up and give it some color, haven't got them yet but there are a couple of youtube videos that show it. If you cut a new plate and freshen up the lights I bet that thing would really pop. Good luck on your endeavor.

I just wired mine on Saturday, I used cheap Equus gauges and an Autometer dash insert, kind of pricey for the dash, But I like the way the gauges angle towards the driver. I'm using a female Molex connector for the gauges, when I pull the existing gauges, I'll splice in the male Molex connector. Fun to do on a rainy day, I'll do the tach and speedo next.

The gauge that says "Boost" is actually a vacuum gauge too, in case anyone was wondering if I had a turbo or supercharger......:)

Autozone or most other parts stores sell the Equus gauges, you will probably have to order the fuel gauge (#8362) it's a 0 - 90ohm (Chevy).

Autometer 15220 for the tach and speedo mount

Autometer 15218 for the gauge mount

18 gauge wire: Black, white, violet (purple), tan (light brown), green

Solder and shrink tube for the gauge lights.

Mine's an 88' so I used the wiring diagram from the FSM for that year

12 pin Molex connector (male and female) and Molex crimp tool (12 pin allows extra room if you need it)

I haven't figured the total cost yet....... the Autometer panels are around $70.00 each

Google and Amazon is your friend!! I'm at work and don't have a lot of time to post links.....

That looks great! ill probably look into some of those gauges. Right now im waiting on sped/tach combination gauge and a few sheets of textured abs plastic i will be modeling with my dremel and drilling holes in. i have a the wiring diagram i think so the set up shouldnt be too bad just need to get the connectors. Your 95' has electronic speedo, my 88' has mechanical..... if you're using the Equus gauges, I'm not sure if they make an electronic speedo. I have to figure out the right adapter for my speedo cable to the Equus 5/8-18 connection, or find a new cable that will work. Autometer makes an electronic speed, but they are pretty pricey, I wish Equus made a GPS speedo, that would be the easiest.
