Talking Yj Hard Door Problem HELP PLEASE !

I took the hard doors of a 89 to put onto a 87 buy they do not line up with the latches ! Anyone know why or how i can go about fixing ??

None of them fit exact, you can adjust the hinges on the front of the tub and the striker on the back.

Can you explain a bit on that? I don't understand how to adjust them. I can't go without doors right now it's still pretty cold at night and to cold to take off the hard top and go with the low doors.

The bottom hinge that bolts to the tub right above where it says JEEP. Loosen those torx and you can move the hinge around.

it is sitting about a half inch to high for the door to line up. I tried to move the door strike but i don't see a place for it to re drill it.

ok.. i think i got it.. I need to loosen the plates on the door it self then put it on. Line it up .. Then tighten to fit.

you can, but most of the time the one on the tub needs adjusting

HELL YEAH.. just got it 14 hours ahead of time before i lost the time frame. Thanks for all the help.. Only stripped three bolts along the way.

redrill the striker ? if you loosen the torx on the end , the striker itself they are usually in a bigger hole and you can move the pin around once loose.
