hood mount

I like mine on the hood, and in the desert no rust issues.

Mine is on the hood of my CJ5...and if you want it dry, buy the neoprene cover to put over the mechanical lifting parts...mine has not gotten wet yet.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Thank God I got the bigger one, they disappear in the mud/muck fast till they hit something solid when using em...still isn't past my fenders on the outside of the body and haven't hit any mailboxes yet.

I don't have any pics yet, but I cut 5" off the end of my 60" jack, and strapped it to the roll bars right behind the rear seat. I can get to it easily, and stiil get to all of my gear in the back

How did you bolt that down on the cowl? Not like you can get your hand in there to thread the nut?

I had mine mounted to the hood, but didn't really like it so I relocated it to where the rear bumper is supposed to be. It looked pretty BA.

I seen one mounted under the hood. It was a clean neat fit with no fatigue to the sheet metal. Should have taken pic so I could remember how it was done. Has anyone else seen this mount?
