YJ Power Steering Pump & Pulley Modifications

I am new to this forum and I'm looking for anyone who may have come across a situation I'm in. I have a 1989 YJ and I needed to replace my power steering pump. In the process of trying to remove the pulley I damaged it and now have to find a new one. Here's the problem. The belt is a sepentine belt but the 1989 is listed as having a "V" belt. I think someone changed the motor to a 91-95 YJ. In order to match up with the existing steering in the 1989, they somehow put a serpentine pulley on the 1989 power steering pump. I've been to the auto store and compared a 1989 pump with a 91 pulley. The shaft on the 89 pump is too large for the pulley. While at the store I compared the same pulley with a 91 pump to see how it should fit. Any feedback would be helpful at this time no matter how redisulous it may be.
