YJ Starting Issues

Ok guys I need some help here. One day my jeep stop starting, i turned the key and nothing happened. I have replaced the battery AND the starter and now when i go to start it all that happens is the starter clicks once.

I am at a loss now, what else could a problem be? Any input would be much appreciated.

Its a manual trans 2.5L if that helps

Ok thanks I'll check that out.

Also, I have been asking around and someone mentioned something about a bad clutch switch? could that be a possibility if my wires are good?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, im just a newb trying to learn!

What year jeep my 91 does not have one but you are getting power to it bc its clicking so I dont think it would be a clutch switch I think they started them in tj but might be wrong you can jump the starter with screwdriver or jumper cables from POS on bat to power terminal on starter just some ideas for ya

Thanks guys that worked! Instead of using sandpaper on the battery terminals because I couldn't fit my fingers in there, I used my dremmel with a polishing attachment. It runs great now.
