Question yj transfer case question

Hi I'm new to the forums, I just picked up 2 yjs recently a 95 and a 91. Both are 4.0 5 speeds my 91 is the one in question, the transfer case is bad or not the right one I think for some reason it has 2 electrical plugs on the drivers side instead of 1 maybe wrong case? Has the electric odo plug and another similar under it. Don't know what its for nothing plugged into it but it Only has 2 hi. But I picked up another case today for 100$ the only difference is instead of a electric odo its a mechanical. Can I switch out the electric from my other case and put it In the one that has the mechanical odo ? Please help me out thanks.

Well, Im not sure specifically; but I would try.

I believe there are two sizes, one is shorter and one is longer depending on year and TC; so pull them, compare, and if they seem similar, shove it in.

of course they are clocked too, so make sure you pay attention to their markings so it can go back in the same way. (you can change them depending on the speedo gear you want to use).

'91 was the first year of mpfi and the last year of the mechanical speedometer. Thus the cable and electrical connection for the speedo. The cable operates the speedometer and the speed sensor sends signal to the ecm. They normally are interchangeable as the speed sensor was made to directly replace the cable drive.
