6/22 Boone and Blowing Rock NC anyone?

I am in the area for the next couple days if anyone wants to get together for a trail ride.

If not I will take light to moderate trail suggestions.

Lee

How were the trails? Glorified paved roads, light easy wheeling, some ledges, rock? I'll be camping up there (linville falls) the 5th of July and may take a trip. How long did the trails take, begin to end?

Been to Uwharrie? Moderate on their scale. however one trail with a loop at the top for the return trip. A fun ride.

ive been to Uwharrie many a time! so its worth it? i didnt want to get there and it be a bumpy, gravel road with a few dips here and there...about how long did it take you to go up and back? where we camp is in the Linville Gorge area (~1 hour trip one way) definitely want to make sure its worth the trip.

In my opinion it was worth it unless you can find something closer. I drove an hour to get there from BR and enjoyed myself. I was not able to complete the trail due to time constraints. I only had about 2.5 hours to complete. Additionally I was there by myself and was a bit more cautious.

As for the trail conditions, I would say that they were moderate. A lifted wrangler will make it through easily but it's fun with a few challenges. Also a mud pit as you can see behind my Wrangler. It sounds you are a more experienced driver and if that is the case you my be bored.

I do think Uwharrie is a much better trail system.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the response. I'll give Rubi a go at it. At the least she still have a fun trip.
