A little hunting and freezing off the gonads.

It got cold this weekend. Saturday's low 17 deg. and Sunday 14 deg.
It snowed (a little) and the wind howled. It never got above freezing both days.

After a couple mile walk in the woods, it was too cooold. I did sit there and warm up after though. The first cold snap always hits me hard.

Two weeks into bow season and I only went out one morning with my camera. It's been in the 80's everyday. I just really don't enjoy hunting when it's that warm.

Muzzy season starts Saturday and there's a front coming through this week. It should be low 60's and sunny Saturday. I'll probably go out.

Don't get me wrong this cool weather is very abnormal for hunting in our area. Highs in the 70's are more normal for our season. It makes curing the meat hard if you don't have a locker. Meat bees are usually atrocious this time of year too. I hate them little bastards.

I must have been close to you this weekend as we had about the same weather, 14 in the morning and never above 30 the whole weekend but no snow. Although we did see 1 nice bear and my son almost got a shot off at a nice 4 point (not you of course) but held off because of too many trees in the way. We were hunting the D9 area.

It depends on what time of the year it is. Its closer to a line shack. In the late spring and summer its a fishing cabin and in the fall its a hunting cabin and in the winter its under 15-20ft of snow.

Oh and D stuff is hunting zones. CA is divided into a zillion little hunting zones.
