so i will post some pics next time i go i dont know if this is in the right section but it has to do with being on a trail i frequent today. well its more of a powerlines trail.

the past 3 years me and my buddies have been just mudding out on this power line trail and there are no signs, hadnt been out there since this past fall due to snowing and went out today, enter as normal no posted signs no nothing (will make sense in a minute) so i go down finally put it in 4wd and started getting muuuuddy almost got stuck the girl freaked out a bit but she was a trooper. so we get through all the sticky stuff and are taking the trail out and i am pointing out all the trash and shingles dumped out there and was like this is why people think 4X4ing is bad, but i know it wasnt me or anyone we go out with, so i getting up to the exit of the trail and there is a GATE. i kind of paniced because i didnt want to be tresspassing never thought i was and dont want to be that guy, i climbed some rocks and got around it.

so in closing was i in the wrong there were no signs on one side and the other side has a gate. more for future refernce.

I know here in Mississippi there do not have to be signs. If you don't own the land or have permission to be there, then you have no business being on the land.

You know, lots of times when me and my friends go out, we bring in lots of trash that we pick up. We have gone out there for the sole purpose of picking up trash. I know that is off the subject, but something you may consider in the future.

Excellent point Amerijeep. Since you noticed the trash in your wheeling spot, track down the landowner and offer to help clean it up in exchange for permission to play there. This will help change the perception that us wheelers are out to damage people's land and make a mess. Get a few guys together, maybe put an ad in the paper to let people know about the clean up.
