Annual trail ride. Disney, OK April 19-22

Giving the heads up on our annual trail run to Disney. We have gone the past 5 years and make it a habit to get out and about. April is a big month for us. Dirk, Eli, Jen, and myself all have April birthdays. This is the way we celebrate.

Where:

Disney, OK
Camping = Lake O The cherokees Rec area

When:

April 19-22. Thursday through Sunday.

I will be there Thursday to setup camp and stake our spot. We have stayed at Hogans in the past but this year we are staying at a different location across the river. I have camped there before. Cleaner, quieter, and roomier. They have full showers and bathrooms that get cleaned on a routine basis.

What:

Plans are to take it easy on Thursday. Most of the crew will show up on Friday. We are not high pressure. Don't expect anyone to do anything they don't wish. We will help you through what you want to do. We come very prepared. I will be the first person to give you a boost if you need some verbal encouragement to try an obstacle. We won't have any of our big jeeps there. Biggest tires size might be a worn out 37" MTR. I will be there in my wifes rig.

This is absolutely a first. We have never invited people outside our group before but anyone and everyone is welcome this year. I am extending this invitation to my WF family only. I would be thrilled if anyone can make the trek to Disney. It is well worth your trouble.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask them here or PM me. My email is mr.clifford@thedoubleduke.com Anyone more interested in specific details over the phone can PM me for my number.

That looks like an absolute blast, and is on my "pilgrimage list" for wheeling, but not in the cards for next month...

Hmmmm, don't know if this one is do able just for a weekend. Looks like about 1100 miles from my house to there. I was hoping it was more in Western OK.

Does look like a blast though.

This is our annual run. We do it the weekend after Easter every year. That helps keep the crowd down and find easy places for camping and wheelin. I know this is a little soon but we also make a run in October which everyone is encouraged to come.

The invite stands. I won't go outside this group in asking people to go. Jack, if you think 1100 miles is tough that is nothing. In the group photo above the furthest white jeep on the right and the red jeep on the right make the trek from Wisconsin and hit the night runs that evening. You can do it!!!

Scout-

This is from the big meats run at Disney last weekend. Disney has any amount of hard core wheelin you desire.

and a video shot by my buddy Tyler.

Yeah looks pretty good but it looks like possible tube fender damage to me. I'll have to pass this time but maybe October!

Yeah, Andy I know it's a pretty lame ass excuse. Hell lookin at where Disney is it's closer for the WI folks then it is for me. If it was around the pan handle some where I'd be there in a heartbeat. Might have to hold off and hit up the October run.

Excuse or not... I won't drive over 300 miles unless I plan to be there for at least a week so I feel your pain!
