AZ girls

Jack (1blkjp) loaned his jeep today to a friends 16 yr old daughter for this arizona girls run. These chicks are hardcore

Joe and Lisa from Absolute Offroad were there and so was Jim (Hackle) and a few of our other friends.

Was alot of fun. Me and my sister walked the trail taking pictures and videoing. Here are some of the pictures from today. Two trails were run today... "Collatoral Damage" and "Dirty Sanchez"... I only have the pics from Collatoral Damage.

Wow, looks like they had a good time. In pic 71 is that smoke or dust billowing from under that jeep?

the jeep with the billowing smoke under it is big Bob's jeep (license plate says FAT BOB). His sister just learned to drive a stick shift last Tuesday and so this was her first real jeep trail. That smoke is from a burnt clutch. It stopped smoking after it sat for a while and cooled off. she did really good though especially considering the trail.

A little wheel stand

Great weekend and a great group of people.
I even go to try my new tow rig/ camper set up it worked great. It is nice the come back to camp after a night run and take a shower and have an ice cream bar. This is going to be nice (camping with style).

Lev none off the jeeps are virgin on body damage and the trails are tight so you will not roll very far. Add in that we got to spot them (or subtract in Jacks case).
Very little majar damage happens on these type runs as nobody but Lisa goes for the bottle N2.

I know how you feel Crafty, it gets tiring doesn't it?? I had some guy come up to me at the gas station the other day and ask if it was my boyfriend's jeep.... I just said this is my boyfriend and went about my business.

Looks like a great day of wheeling. Nice pictures.

Hey Lev, it's because my jeep is built to do this kind of stuff without fear of it breaking. Besides Paige was nicer to my rig than I am. She's a great kid with a good head on her shoulders. She listens very well to the spotter, and get's on it when needed also. She's a better driver than most people twice her age.

Sittin back and watchin this happen was great stuff. Hackle was on the mic before he even landed goin "Uh Joe's gonna need some help up here".

Is that all Govt land. Most of Texas is privately owned so not many open spots unless the landowners open it up for wheeling. Maybe I should take a transfer to Albaquerque to put us closer to AZ.

Yes it's all a mixture of BLM lands and State Trust Lands. When Arizona was granted it's statehood it was given a parcel of some untold number of acres to do what it pleased with all proceeds going to the state education system. That land is dwindling yearly with urbanization, but we still have some of the best overall trails in the country to play on.

OD, Albuquerque has some pretty sick trail systems also from what I've heard. Plus in the vacinity of an 8 hour drive you have Phoenix and Las Cruces.

I have seen some of the trails there when we went on our trip to Tahoe. Had a 2 wheel drive att and wasn't able to play though.

Now I just have to unburn some bridges with a few managers, and wait for a slot to open in my Craft, lol

When we went to white sands last year I wanted to off-road in that stuff so bad. lol Doubt the missile range would have enjoyed that.

let's see if I can explain this one.....to "pull down" which will eliminate bounce and lower center gravity......sound logical? Some of the guys here have 'em front & rear.

Very very close Kat, nice work on knowing that. Jeepn as you know with coil sprung vehicles they have a tendancy to unload pretty good when there isn't much weight on'em. The exit to the first trail we ran on Saturday had a gnarly climb to get out of it that starts with about a 6 foot vertical rock face. So I just threw winch rope around the axle to suck down the front end so it wouldn't unload on Paige and give her some better traction. Some folks have started running suck down winches separtate from their actual winch. I don't like to use it that much but there are times when it can come in handy.

Yeah, those signs that state "Private Property, Violators will be shot on sight" didn't look to inviting to me either.
