Yep, they paid all 16 of us our normal wages plus overtime since we were technically "working" 14 1/2 hours, rented us 4 jeeps, and they bought us breakfast in Silverton, lunch in lake city and dinner in Durango. Pretty awesome day. Only a few of us in my group have offroad experience so it was fun to watch the reactions of the guys that had never done anything like that.

Love those mountains. Grandparents live not to far away, just down 149 to Del Norte. Love it that they are already getting snow

I should take a poll of how many of the guys are wanting jeeps now, the 2 guys in our jeep that dont own jeeps were both talking about wanting to get them.

I love those trails out there. I also heard that they got snow just today - that always makes it more interesting!

Its is some awesome scenery up there. I live close enough to go pretty much weekend I want but still usually only manage to make a couple of times a year.
The storm was supposed to hit last night and continue through the weekend, a guy at the restaurant in lake city said they were expecting 3 feet of snow by sunday. Engineer pass was actually closed due to snow but we decided to go for it anyway and made it ok.

Seems like this place is always hiring, but keep in mind I've worked my sack off turning wrenches in the field for this company for over six years, rain or shine, no matter how hot, or how cold, or how muddy, or how icey, no matter how downright miserable the weather gets, for this one day of fun and a meager paycheck.
So if your interested let me know and I can tell you where to apply. Lol.

Do you have any oilfield (any kind), or mechanical experience? Schooling? Training? Could you actually manage to show up and do your job? Sorry I have to ask, this company hires tons of worthless A-holes.

I'm glad you asked Phil, I'm 21. Have an amazing job history, I graduated high school. I started to go to college for law enforcement got into my second semester while maintaining two jobs so it was one or the other dropped college and one of my jobs and stayed where I am currently employed today which is a steel mill. We make the drilling pipe for the rigs. I have some mechanical experience(maybe a year) that I could truthfully put on my resume other then that I'm a quick learner, NEVER called off or showed up late. I also had a background similar to yours. I had to bust my a** in the freezing hot miserable elements for a year and a half until they realized I was an amazing employee and hired me on.

2 more questions and probably the most important 2. Do you have a clean driving record? Can you pass a drug test?
If you're seriously interested I can try and pm you a couple of links tomorrow.
