What is the exact plan? I have to see if it works for me. How far away is it? I think about 6 hours, but confirming that guess. Who's going? Thanks for the information in advance!

My plan is to leave at midnight Thursday or around there. I have found a camp site a short distance off the Island (although I am frantically looking for a site on the Island itself at this point because it would be more convinient) that charges $20 a night. The boat charge is $8 round trip but as I said, if I can find a camp site on the Island I'll stay there. From Pinckney it is a 5 1/2 hour trip so your pretty close. My family wants to come so at this point it is them (my brother has a land rover so thats comming along), my gf and I, and a Im in talks with a few buddys that have wranglers as well. I really planned it as a camping trip at first with some trail action but then I figured it would be cool if I could a group of people together. I am doing a bunch more research tonight and basically getting it completley planned so I will post more later. I will also put up a link to the trail maps so you can take a look if you like.

thier is so much to do on the island! i went two years ago with my grand cherokee.

make sure you go to turtle ridge! so much fun!

it took me 6 hours from Livonia to get there. we had three jeeps and it was the time of my life! the camp ground we wnt to was on a honor system so when you get there you put your money in a envolpe and put it in the backet. same with the fire wood! if you make a left off the ferry its not too far down the road.

i would go but im going to wait till next year!

have fun!

Here are just a few of the picks we have.

This place is breathtaking

Some of the Photos we collected form the 2008 Drummond Island Jeep Jamboree. We have a tone more on JeepTales

I'd like to wheel there myself sometime.
