Haha, yea, I know what your sayin Gary. This trip is pretty far off and its hard to know if something crazy may pop up. But I think Taz just wants everyone to mark their calenders and be as excited as him

OK, OK, OK...so I tend to over organize....

Oh, and cherokee, a hose will do just fine, with how hot I imagine it will be..the cold water will be good.

Looking a gas prices I can't afford to tow my rig there unless something changes. But, if I drive it up I can still pull this trip off. Spare axle shafts, universal joints and driveshaft. Or am I having a WHAT AM I THINKING moment

We need more female Jeepers handleing their own rigs, ya gotta come! My girlfriend will be there (still gotta convince her to bring her Jeep out and wheel it a little). She loves wheelin she just hasnt got the confidence yet to drive her own vehicle on the trails...it'll change soon

I think we can change her mind. It took a few friends of mine to show me what a stock jeep can do to convice me that what i was doing was ok.

but that was before i went crazy and lifted my jeep and got bigger tires, new bumpers front and rear, axle shafts, winch..the list goes on and on and on...

I know how it is. I wheeled my Grand Cherokee completley stock for 2 years before I did anything at all to it. Then sold it. Then bought a Wrangler. I think driving a stock Jeep for a while helps you as a driver off road though. You learn which lines to take and you get a better sense of how to make it over obstacles.

I totally agree, the trips i had in the jeep while it was stock helped me a bunch.

This whole ride was dedicated to you...you have to come...quit your job if you have too...

Dude, that would really really really really really really really really suck if you did not make this trip.

Nobody is buying anything anyway..so 2 days will not hurt anything...tell them that you have a customer in Harlan that you need to go see.

Do I have to write you a doctor's note excusing you from work?

Well, in preperation for the trip I decide to take a different root than working on the rig. Instead, I built a rock course out of 25 tons of boulders! The story is, we installed a rock wall into someones landscape a few years ago (Im a landscaper) and it turns out the supplier gave us the wrong kind of rock. The client wanted limestone and this stuff looked like it so it was installed. Two years later and the rock started to shale and break away in thin layers. We went after the supplier over it but they had gone out of business. So now we were left with 25 tons of "deffective" rock. Now, a few years later we finally tore it out for replacement and instead of having it hauled away I took it home. A days worth of work and I came out with a three teir course up a small hill in my side yard. I still have some boulders left and I sit on 10 wooded acres so Im in the process of process of building a decent little trail. I have a creek and a swamp so it will probably be pretty good when all is said and done. I will try to post pics later.
