You kidding, he has already sold it for a $10 profit and is looking at another rig as we speak.... Just kidding.

As far as your forum name, leave it alone and paint some green stripes on this one and then you can have the Elm Street Jeep.

hummm..I now have an idea....

Im going to look at it in person today. I have to sell me Jeep first to pay the loan off I took out for it. Then I can buy this. Hopefully it sells very soon because I want this bad. I have a few leads so I dont think it should take long.

Getting close, are we planning on the Putney (north) or Bailey's Creek (south) trailhead? Both have tent sites and cabins but the south location also has fuel and groceries if needed. Somebody got a cabin I think but at which location? I will be tent camping.

Come hell or gigh water I will be wheeling. I dont care if its pouring or shinning, lol. But as far as the trail head, I planned for us to meet at the southern one. I will be tenting it up as well.

Alright glad we have the campsite location picked out. So Bailey's Creek (south) trailhead it is.

I just got a call from a friend of mine and he is coming up on the trip as well. Now he will be brining his Yota, but who cares it is all about wheeling.

As far as the rain, I don't trust 10-15 day forecasts in the summer time. I will start to worry about the weather on the monday or tuesday before.

Also you can never tell what it is going to do in the mountains.

OK where is everyone...Barry....still making the trip??

I am so ready for this trip.

I wasn't worried about the rain but the temps for tent camping look great.

If those temps hold that will be great. Much better than the 100 we have been having here.

It official! I SOLD MY JEEP! The guy is comming to pick it up Monday or Wednesday. I will have my new rig by next weekend on my way back from getting my furniture into my new apartment up at school. After a winch and some rocker guards it will be complete but I may have to hold off on that stuff until after the trip.

I will probably just be there for Thurs & Friday. Was planning on spending time with family the week after until I realized I would be driving home in Labor Day
Weekend traffic. Trying to rearrange things some.

Nevermind, just bought a winch too. Its a warn 8274. Got it from a guy for $550 shipped and it works great! All I gotta do is get the 4 pin connector for it as one of the pins got bent. Should be cheap and now I'll have a winch for the trip!

Oh come on, you can hang out for Saturday as well. We are all family..

GRN, awesome news on the sell and buy of the jeep and winch.

I am getting a little nervous about who is going to be on this trip.

Chime in if you are going?

Found a better deal on an 8274, $500 and the guy is local. Plus its complete and the other one wasnt. Also gonna take some extra $$ out for the loan on the new Jeep to buy a few extras. Might as well since I am paying for them one way or another.

LMAO, I expected something like that. I cant wait for cherokee to see this. Im sure he will have something to say. I think Im oging to pick up some neoprene seat covers and a set of rocker guards w/ the extra money before the trip. Maybe some diff. protection as well, or 1 ton steering but Im not sure yet.

Oh yea, it doesnt come w/ a sway barfor some reason. I think he was gonna put a teraflex sway bar on it but didnt get around to it. Anyway, I need to find a sway bar too. He has JKS discos for it but no sway bar, lol.

Cherokee is still heavily medicated, his responses might not be as quick.

I vote for Rocker guards...

Or since you are big money, you are buying the beer for the trip...

So you are brining a winch as a give away to the Meet and Greet?

Hey, I could use a set of seat covers if you are feeling like buying some more.

If you are 20 then there will be no drinking on this trip...

OK ladies and gentleman , I just got off the phone with a very nice lady by the name of Debbie. She has suggested the North Evarts RV Park for tent camping. There is lots of grass and shade for tents. Also water hook ups.

Here are some details that are important to know.
  • The North Evarts RV Park is located at 122 Walnut Street, Evarts, KY. Plug that into goggle maps and they are the same directions that Debbie gave me
.

  • Tent camping is $10.00 a day per tent. Cash only. So be prepared. Debbie will collect from us sometime during the weekend.

  • The shower house is located at the South Evarts RV Park which is located at 104 David Turner Drive, Evarts, KY. Which is .07 miles from the the North Evarts RV Park.

  • We can have campfires, the city of Evarts will provide the wood, so for those who were brining wood, we are saving you some space.

Here is a little bit more info on the campground..there is no address on the website.
