hey all, don't have anything done to the Jeep yet accept slightly bigger tires, still lots of fun so far. Just two quick pics I shot after getting the tires on. Have a ride coming up this weekend in some fairly tricky terrain so hopefully I will get some more pics.
Just the fact that you got off of the coach, and went into the wilds, is a great start. Do not apologize. As you said, we all start somewhere. I can still remember how nervous I was when I started to wheel. Just glad that you ventured out, and went wheel'n. That is how it all starts.
thanks everyone, i really do feel much better now. I've had the Jeep in some pretty rough places already, those were just some quick pics i shot right after i got the tires. I'll take some pics of this weekends trails.
josh where and how much did you pay for those rims? If you don't mind... I have been looking for those. You like them? what kinda tires did you go with?
hey, i got them through discount tire direct. The whole package with rims, tires, mounted and balanced VERY WELL, lugs including locks, center caps, and tire certificates for replacements should they fail; cost me 900 and some change including shipping.
The tires are the BFG Mud Terrains in 31x10.5 and the wheels are 15x8's.
If you are interested in the whole package call 1-800-589-6789 and ask for extension 416 or Norm. He will take care of you. But be forwarned, I got the last set of those wheels they had in stock, so you might have a small waiting time. Good luck.
i got mine at discount tire as well...i also went with the bfg mud terrains and black steel wheels...if you go to www.discounttire.com you can find a store nearest to you with the "store locator" and then look at the wheels that fit your wrangler (it will ask your vehicle) and it will show the wheel that Josh has...the steel wheels like he and i have are super easy to find
