Hey guys,

Got back from doing a helluva run sunday, we ran freeway ridge from highway 178 to shirley meadows and then looped back. Not much carnage to speak of, a few blown beads, and a couple of almost rolls, lots of pulling and strapping. It was great, started off good and dry, thought it was going to be cake, but we got into the higher elevations, and it turned into a slushy, muddy, rocky mess. we started with 11 vehicles and only six were able to finish. We took a lot of pics, I don't have time to post them this morning, but as soon as I get home this evening, I will. :D

Allright, so here I go,

Two days before in Tehachapi

Waiting on the rest of the group to show up

Infectious offroad out of Bakersfield

On the way to the the trail head, by the end of the day, we were up and over those mountains in the background

Lining up

Me, up and over.

By the time we got to the top, it was snowing, and working on getting pretty deep. The final lineup of the rigs that made it to the top, the 'burb blew a bead, and had to be strapped up one obstackle with three jeeps, two straps and a winch attached to it. It was a little muddy between the bottom and the snow (by little I mean a lot)

more pics to come, they are on 35mm and need to developed and transferred to disc.

So I sprayed my jeep off this afternoon, and I noticed that I already gouged my new tie rod, it was a good thing I had purchased it prior to this run, because where the gouge was, would have bent my stock unit and slammed it right into my diff cover. I managed to break in my sliders and my trail corners too. Good times. Scout, you're more than welcome any time you want, oh and :flipoff: too. HAHA.

It was a great time, almost flopped mine twice in some real off camber sloppy sections, got a few pics wheels up too. Man I wish I was back on the trail today. By the time we were done though, my jeep was about the color of shite brown, due to all the mud encountered on the backside road down.

My bumpers are both personally fabbed products that I built, really tested them out this run too, I had two jeeps strapped to my front hoop by my lights, and were pulling on me while I was pulling on that white suburban, quite the bumper test bed.
