Here's something you don't see everyday

It was wacky Wednesday at Great Lakes Dragaway so a bunch of us took the trail rigs for a laugh. It was a lot of fun.






Me lining up with a Mustang (almost had him!):


and last, but not least, poor Jerry's untimely driveshaft break. The one rig with any real speed didn't get to show it. They were a little upset about the mud.

That CJ5 is a fast SOB, it's a shame he broke. He surprises a lot of people with that thing!

I just thought of something! Why didn't the CJ just kick in 4wd and smoke that other cars arse? Front wheel drive, who needs those rear wheels!

The yoke on the rear axle snapped and the drive shaft banged around quite a bit so he wasn't sure if any damage was done to the t-case, plus it caused a pinion leak and they won't let you run with an oil leak. Besides, they were a little pissed off about the mud on the track so he just put it on the trailer.
