Hogmoor Arena (UK)

Well I got my first run here in the UK. It's also the first run since the frame off build. It was hosted by the Thames Valley 4x4 Club (which we are now members of) at the Hogmoor Arena. It is a Ministry of Defence test site where they try out all their Land Rovers, Unimogs and tanks. We all had a great time out there. We arrived at the playground at about 0900 and rolled out around 1600. We only brought 3 trail vehicles. A Land Rover, a Rubicon and my Jeep. I flat towed mine down and back with my "new to me" 94 Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 turbo diesel. That thing did great, and it has 7 seats. The other 2 drove. We had (including myself) 5 GI's and 2 Brits with us and my 2 kids. We were also joined by a friend I made on the clubs forum. He has a pretty nice Cherokee. We were the only 3 Jeeps out there.

Pics?!?! I believe someone said "Pics or it didn't happen" so.....

These are our 4 rigs.

Me

Dave

Matt

Jerry

This is Dave ruining a good diesel engine in the Land Rover in a few attempts to make it through the hole.

Jerry getting the Cherokee stuck in the hole after a second pass and getting winched out by me.

Me going through the hole. Piece of cake.

Matt almost getting the Rubi into a deep hole and having to winch through and out and then having to change a tire that started to go down.

Jerry getting stuck earlier in the day.

Ya we all had a good time. It think we all did some damage.

Matt had to change a tire.
I need a new fender flare, starter, clutch, power steering belt, and a stronger t-case.
Dave needs a new engine in the Landy
Jerry ripped the metal breather tube coming off the front end.

Aww.... It was great. I haven't wheeled my jeep since 2003. I'd almost forgot how to wheel. Well not really. Now I need to get it ready for June when the club goes back. There is an event in the first part of May but I have too many other things going on to make it to that event.
