Hollister 8-06-2006 Photos

yep went to Hollister today and tooled around. Nothing to big and no carnage but I almost had my first flop on the drivers side. to say I was a little clenched would be an understatement, after I got things stopped and balanced, I was able to turn into it and gave it a little gas and righted myself up. After that, I'm getting my safety cage, anyways here's the photos:

I heard a loud grinding sound, I came across some guy who was stuck. Had to take photos of course

the quarry has changed, they got rid of the posing rock and that ledge that was fun to go up

Some more posing shots

there was nobody there, and it was a quiet day.

Lookin' good! Glad to see you got out, even if you didn't take anyone with you. Also glad to hear that you managed to keep the rubber side down!!! Thanks for sharing the pictures!

thanks for the comments guys. Yeah the guy had to get pulled out, I think the stuck was due to a trashed tranny.

Thanks Jeepguy, I've got a 4" ProComp lift on my LJ with 33 x12.5 ProComp MT's. SO far I really like the lift as I haven't out grown it yet. I have some friends that went a long arm lift that gets better articulation and they love it. It just really depends on what you're going to use your jeep for.

yeah thats ture, but do you feel that your jeep got a little slow after the 33"s. i think procomp is good lift company i was thinking about going with a 3.5 inch rubicon express lift but now i think i should go with procomp. how much did the lift cost you if you dont mind me asking.

hey jeepguy, I've heard really good things about the RE lift as I think it comes in different stages depending on how you want to wheel your rig. The procomp lift is very cool, and I like it but I know that it doesn't come with new upper control arms and uses the stock ones (if that makes a difference for you). I think my lift was roughly $2500 but I'm not sure since it came brand new from the dealer with the lift already thrown on it.
