Legore- not trespassing. We have permission to be there during day light. Its all mud with a couple hill climbs and a beach on the river at the end to have a fire/cook. We have a group going out there Saturday. We have confirmation from the police as well as DNR that we do have permission to be out there during day light hours.

Rausch Creek- The best all around offroading in the area. Its got everything from Hardcore Rock trails for purpose built buggies to stock friendly fire roads. They have camping and a full service shop you can use if you break your junk. There are also Hotels close by and they are open every weekend year round and you can even go during the week if you have a big group and call them up to plan ahead.

GWNF- Never been there, but heard its pretty nice.

Greenridge- Really easy state dirt roads for the most part, they get wet in the rainy season and have a couple interesting obstacles and camping. The ATV ORV there is closed but they are state roads so licensed/registered vehicles can still travel on them.

Big Dogs Offroad Park- Gore, VA. Only wheelable during events as far as I know. You can check out Big Dogs website for dates and event locations.

Fort Hoyle Offroad Park- This is a place we are trying to get reopened for wheeling to the public. Its located in a privately owned quarry near Baltimore. You can help by signing this online petition: https://www.change.org/petitions/re-...-signed-waiver

Vaters Offroad is based out of Hagerstown and works with F&S Racing to hold events also... Boulder Bash is Sunday April 1st if you would like to come.

If you would like to join Element Offroad and meet other MD Jeepers on a regular basis Click the link in my sig and join the group on FB. If you arent on FB just let me know and I can work out a way to keep you updated. We do have a forum but it hasnt really kicked off yet. Our FB page is VERY active though.

Check out Element offroad in my signature. There are lots of us over there and quite a few of us go wheeling pretty often.

@mcdaichman Some of the best trails are those you make yourself or simply find.. If your a first time off roader.. I would check with family members who may have land in state or out of state. I've been very fortunate to have family in North Carolina, Tennessee and the eastern Shore of Maryland that have land which we can tool around on and do some exploring.

Basically we are a "mild" off roading family that looks at road maps for any "dotted" lines.. and we have found many of trails that take several hours to complete. here in MD, if you out near West Virginia, try the gorge trail.. Steep drop off's to your left while rock face walls on your right.. and it very slow going..

For any first timers or mild riders.. we'll be making a few of these treks very soon and your more then welcome to tag along. You can check for updates on our next trail ride or cruise via my signature.

Thank you Militaryman for your generous offer.. As for the signature.. I was asked by the admins to remove my signature (redirected user/viewers to my site) However.. if you goto the "members sites" you you'll have a chance to link to my page from there.. again as requested by the admins.. As for FB.. I apologize.. nearly all social networks are out of the question for this jeep family.. I guess I'm limited on what, where, how I can go and do. I sort of like it this way.

Just be careful with Legore. Rumor (truth) is that there are people that wheel up there even "not seeing" the no trespassing signs. Not saying people don't have permission, but I would recommend getting it in writing YOURSELF before you go there. A few idiots can mess things up for everyone.

Greenridge is shut down right now, but it is fire roads. If you're looking for fire trails, you can find plenty if you check out the dnr resources. Even better than the internet? Call them!

Rausch Creek is a great spot, bring your jeep up and run greens, then hop in a right seat and bounce while someone else fires their rig up on the trail. Win/Win.
