Looking to Offraod, North Georgia

Yesterday I went to Helen to do some offroading. I visited Poplar Stump road (about an hour away from where I live) however some of the trails were closed. Also, the terrain is for the most part very simple to ride. A friend recommended Sheeps Wallow and it was really enjoyable. I am very interested in learning about what all is out there, because I know there are tons and tons of trails in North Georgia. I am not looking for anything too challenging, (rock climbing, etc.) as am I relatively new right now, but I am eager to learn! I drive a 2011 Rubicon Unlimited, 4 and 1/2 inch lift on 35 MT's; no winch yet. I am interested in something not to far away from the Norcross area, (preferably 1 or 2 hours away). Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Trails you have visited and enjoyed; really anywhere I can wheel because I want to get out there. Thanks, I love the jeep community, rock on!

I live in North Georgia........very North Georgia, only 10 miles from TN state line. Went Jeepin for the 1st time this past Saturday at the Adventure Off Road Park in Kimball, Tn. Probably less than 2 hours from you. Definately a great place.

Hey Freemad,

I live in north GA as well about 10 miles south of the NC state line. Just so you know, Beasley Knob in Blairsville, GA is a good place to go and it's all owned and maintained by the forest service so you can find more info on them online! Also, if you go to Cooper's Creek- also in Blairsville there are a number of roads you can explore and it's easy to not get lost and the roads aren't intense. Sorry this is so late, but I hope you'll have some fun!
