Maryland

I'm new to Maryland and new to the world I wheeling. I haven't even been yet. But I'm thinking about getting a Jeep as my next vehicle, hopefully next year. I heard about trails in WV and PA, but are there any in MD? I didn't see a thread about them on the first couple pages here.

There's plenty in the western panhandle. I've been on a few but don't know the names offhand. I'm sure a quick Google search could reveal some trails.

I would also like to know of some trails to go on. I'm near Annapolis so the closer the better.

I've been thinking about that place. But I wonder if my stock jk sport can handle it. 3.21 baby gears. I have the sport S wheels and the bf Goodrich rubicon tires. I have no winch or anything like that.

There aren't any that are PUBLIC and LEGAL. There are lots of trails. All of them either 1) Private, 2) Illegal, of 3) both.

Legal offroading in MD on anything but private property doesn't exist.

The 101 course up there is designed for stock jeeps. Good way to test what she's capable of..you'll probably be surprised.

According to mapquest it's about 3 hours away, Around 160 give or take miles.

What you are saying just isn't true. A very simple Google search reveals Maryland state-supported website which clearly shows trails in Western MD.

By stating that there aren't "ANY" public or legal trails, you are either attempting to mislead people for unbeknownst reasons, or ignorant of the facts. I stand by my initial response to the original poster who was clearly seeking out information and the facts are that I've personally driven on a plethora of trails in Western MD and never been illegal.

Hi all, I just went up to Rausch Creek last weekend for the 101 course. I actually did a private lesson with Kyle! It was awesome! My Jeep is a stock wrangler unlimited and did perfectly fine! I had such a good time I am going to take the 201 class either in August or September. They also have a trail guide if you can get a certain number of Jeeps to go. Count me in on that! I drove up the moring -- 3 hours rode the trails and came back home and was home by 7pm. I would definately suggest going if you can. And call ono me anytime you want to go because I'm in!
