Camping is primitive only. They give you a spot and the rest is up to you. No power, food, etc!

One exit south is a gas station plus a Burger King. Most people bring lunch with them and eat on the trails. I am not sure how far the closest grocery store is though because we always have our cooler packed before we get there. I would say its probably about 15 mins or so to the closest one though.

Yes most people bring a small grill or cook over the provided fire places. There are porta potties but thats it. Bring baby wipes to clean yourself and anything else for personal hygiene. Like mentioned, there is a gas station/BK about 5-8 mins away. I'm sure you can get basic food/groceries there. I would pack a big cooler.

I have only been once so I am by no means an authority. As said one exit south is a small town. There is a general store that sells groceries and other sundries (batteries, etc). At the same location are a couple gas stations, a burger king, McDonalds, and (wait for it...) a Dairy Queen!!!. WHen I went up I stayed at the Comfort in, they give a special rate for Rausch Creek people, just mention why you are there when setting up the reservation. The Hotel was Clean, nice, and cheap. I paid $56 for a night.

Also as said.. have a cooler in your jeep filled with water, soda, gatoraid, and sandwiches for the trail. You will be SO HAPPY when you stop for the mid day break and you have something other than junk food to eat.
