New To Trails: Speed Question

Hey everyone. Just took my 2007 2dr Wrangler X onto a trail out here in South Jersey. Had a blast! Even more fun than I imagined. However, as one who is new to the off-roading world, I was left wondering how fast/slow I should be driving on these trails. I know a lot of it has to do with the terrain, size, etc. of the trail, but I'm curious about what speed ya'll keep on trails (in all of their variety). This is as much a question about trail etiquette as it is about vehicle maintenance (I don't want to go faster than is healthy for the Jeep). Thanks in advance for your input everyone, and my apologies if this is a lame question. Like I said, I'm a noob extraordinaire, and this is how I learn. Cheers!

I personally like to go rather slow. You never know who is coming the other way is one of my big concerns, especially when they are going too fast. People think they are the only ones out on the trails and I see a lot of careless and dangerous driving whether on motorcycles, quads or Jeeps. Also as you mentioned, I don't like to beat my equipment up just so I can go fast. Treat it with care and it will last a lot longer that way.

,did 14 miles yesterday. never got over 4 mph, slow and steady , pick you lines carefully and stick to them, use a spotter ( like jj did for me in the vid) the easy the trail the faster the speed. i have never been over 12 mph off road .
