North Little Rock, Arkansas Trail Ride

Me and a couple of friends went on a trail ride at an old rock query in North Little Rock Arkansas yesterday. It had rained all day the day before and all morning. The trails and scenery were great. It was the first time that I have taken my jeep off roading to that extent. We had a great time and I was impressed with the way that my TJ preformed. Here are a few pics of the trip.

Where exactly is that? Is it open to the public? I live/work in the area and have been looking for some place to wheel a little...

To be honest I couldn't get there by my self if I tried. The friends I went with led the way. I will find out for you though. And yes it is open to the public.

I'd like to know also, I used to wheel at baroid till they shut it down due to the drownings.

The OP said its called Jeffrey Stone and it's off of MacArthur in North Little Rock. Jeffrey Stone, according to the Internet, was an old quartz mine. From what I read it is supposed to be closed (also due to drownings) but there are several access points into it so it is still accessible.

I haven't actually been there yet but I have looked for it on Google maps and have not been able to find it. The OP says he was headed towards Morgan and took a right turn off of MacArthur.

I will try and get better directions from my friend. Like I said I was following him and have no idea how to get back there.

Found it today! Turn right off MacArthur on E. Meadow and go right at the end of the gravel. It looks posted but the gate was open so we went in and looked around. Lots of rocky trails... Look familiar?
