Rausch Creek

Me and a few buddies will be at Rausch Creek April 19-22, Thurday- Sunday. Will mostly be running blues and blacks. Anyone else gonna be around that weekend?
Maybe we can sit around the camp fire and get drunk singing Kumbaya

I'm interested! I'm not sure how my weekend looks but I've been trying to get out there! Ive never been to rausch so I don't know how the trail ratings work. Will my lifted Tj with 33" BFGs get through blues and blacks?

Yea , your jeep will definitely be capable. More a matter of if your willing to push the envelope a little. A few years ago my Jeep was on 32s, and my buddy was on 31's. We made it through. There are plenty of tough trails, we just take our time and don't get stupid.

We will be leaving on thursday. Wheeling friday and saturday. Coming home sunday.

It was pretty good. A few things didnt go as planned but we still had fun. There was a burn ban at RC so no campfires..at all. Friday we went out wheeling all the green trails because my friend wanted to get his Honda Ridgeline a little dirty. By the end of the day the Honda blew a front tire, the other TJ blew his rear locker, and I had a consistently bending tie rod. We decided early saturday to start packing but we stuck around a while for the club comp.
All in all it was a good trip but it coyld have been better, lol. I plan on going back sometime in July/August.

Go to my FB page for pics...http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003691568327

There should be a separate album for RC April 2012, and then tagged in a buttload of pics too.

Sounds good. Next trip I'll get a "Roll call" thread going a month or so in advance. We'll all meet up at Rausch.

Just saw you post in the Peters Mill thread, you must be near me. We could have a Cara-Jeep if you wanted when the time comes. Where in VA are you?

Anyone have any dates in mind....End of July like 20-22 or 27-29?

Last weekend in July would be best for me but I'm sure I could make either one work.

27-29 is what we are going to shoot for I think.

Purcellville, about 15mins from Leesburg, so about 30-45mins from you. Last time I went on Rt287 through Lovettsville, to Brunswick, to I-70 (IIRC).
