Good luck. I never tried there but I'm thinking that there are forest service roads in that area. I've never heard them promoting off-roading as a tourist draw.

There are some nice trails south of town towards Lost Lake. There is a Forest Service office on the South side of the highway as you get out of the mountains on the road to Questa. Stop and get up-to-date information there. Have Fun!

I was there last month. There are some nice trails. I picked up a trail map at a local jeep rental place. They can give you latest details. I tried to go to goose lake but the trail was covered by snow (yes, in June) and couldn't pass. Should be clear now. Overall great trip. Have fun.
