So How Many JKs/JKUs Are Hitting Trails This Weekend? Or Stuck at the Mall?

So who has some fun weekend wheeling plans? We have some serious Jeep playtime scheduled!

Today is a large run (20+ Jeeps) out to the Coke Ovens as a Jeep club members birthday run (and a Tread Lightly pickup any trash we see run). I understand it is an easy but gorgeous trail. Gonna be a long dusty day with some stunning scenery!

Tomorrow we are running the back way to Crown King.

I finally got me a pair of real trail/hiking boots to test out too! And Superman and Spiderman socks!!!!! Appearance on the trail is important folks!

My daughter is home from college and said she would like to go four wheeling with me
When she was younger we always went wheeling in my pick-up, this will be the first in the jeep for her.

There should be a few jeeps and other 4x4's out in Chattanooga this weekend. I'm heading up to Prentice Cooper State Park tomorrow.

Several groups are going out this weekend. I am going out with the Nevada Backroaders on a fairly easy run, but it is fun.

Sadly, my weekend will consist of finding my garage, clearing out a space in the garage so I can install a whole house water filter system, installing said system,putting everything back in the garage in a neat and orderly fashion (yea, right!), pressure washing the block wall around our property to prepare it for a new coat of paint, acquiring the needed paint and supplies...

No Jeepin' for me this weekend <<<please!!!

Mine is getting a bunch of stuff done to it and has been in the shop almost two weeks.

Went out wheelin with around 50 jeeps today.. High centered and had to get winched at one point lol

Ouch abouzahrr! I havent YET needed to be strapped-I know my day will come tho!

I didnt get a ton of pics but will try to get some up later. This was a loonngg weekend of wheeling. I am still sneezing out desert dust lol!

I required a slight trail finger surgery as I kissed a cactus a little too closely while heeding the call of nature lol! Just luckily the cactus was not at "that" end!

Coke Ovens run was amazing. Just staging we took up almost a whole block lol! We ended up picking up a few strangers - we teased our tail man that he was picking up too many strays on the trail. Then a couple of us hit a festival/concert after-didnt get in til midnite! And ran into some folks on quads who were major losers with bad manners cutting into our line almost hitting a few rigs. Boo hiss.

Next morning were back on the trail to Crown King. Nice run! Stunning scenery. And another bad mannered groups of atv folks blasting corners and then only pulling over half sideways rather than going uptrail where it widened-more than one of our rigs nearly took out the top off a Razr angled over the trail. Someone needs to take their toys away or give them etiquette lessons!

Waiting for Saturday to go to "Doe Valley" in johnstown PA. Local club owns the property and let's us play on it every once in a while.
Broke an axle last time I was there in my old jk. Hope it doesn't happen again haha




Can't wait, been waiting to get back there for a year
