Hopefully we can make it in the Fall. We don't have that week tied up yet.

If you want to go to the fall event.

You need to sign up now: They also went on sale on 12/02/2007

I bet they sell out by mid January if not sooner.

I'm not sure about Palo Duro yet. May is fairly busy but I'm still going to try and make it. I just can't commit yet.

Well if you May is too booked we can always do something different and run the St. Francisville together in April for the Cajun JJUSA?

I hear the FOOD Rocks!

That one looks like it would be one hell of a drive.

What about the Y.O.? Have you heard a date yet? Also, do they usually do just one Y.O. Wheelin' or more? I have family in Kerrville 6 months of the year and the Y.O. would be convenient during the summer months.

We need to all make sure we try to get in the same group this year. I think everyone that camped with us in March was in a different group. It would be nice to swap camera's with someone you know (from the internet ) and get some good pics. These garage shots are starting to kill me.

I think that is a Great Idea

I have not run in the same group with Scout since we met a few years ago in Palo Duro....

When it rained on us all weekend....

Hey RIP, you need to check out the Faq Section on the JJUSA website. This will give you a complete run down of the Jamboree.

Here's a snip:

Quote:
DOES MY JEEP 4X4 NEED SPECIAL EQUIPMENT FOR A JAMBOREE?
Yes! The following is MANDATORY for all vehicles:

> Jeep vehicles must have four-wheel drive with a low-range (4-LO) transfer case. Patriot and Compass vehicles equipped with 4WD systems may participate in Jeep Jamborees with trail ratings of 1 or 2

> Front and rear tow hooks must be properly mounted to the frame with grade-eight bolts

> Drawbars, receiver hitches, or aftermarket bumpers with manufacturer-installed clevis or D-ring anchor points are acceptable alternates to tow hooks. If you don't have tow hooks, you may be turned away without a refund

> All open-topped vehicles, including older models (CJs, Scramblers, and Willys), must have roll bars

> A full-size spare tire; a space-saver spare (donut) just won't do

DO YOU RECOMMEND ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT?
> Skid plates covering the oil pan, gas tank, and transfer case. Mandatory for the Rubicon Trail

> Rock rails for Jeep Liberty, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Commander vehicles registered for higher-rated trails. Rock rails are iron moldings designed to protect your vehicle's rocker sills from damage. Strongly advised for Jamborees with rocky terrain. Mandatory for the Rubicon Trail. Please contact the Jeep Jamboree USA office for additional information.

> Heavy-duty, 20-foot nylon tow straps (20,000 pound minimum rating) with looped ends. TOW STRAPS WITH METAL HOOKS ARE NOT PERMITTED

> Body lifts/suspension lifts up to six inches (combined) are permitted. Running boards and snowplow frames are not permitted

> Tires over 37 inches are not permitted

Hello fellow 07' TX Spur JJ campmates

What's happening everyone? Long time no talk. Sounds like everyone is pumped for 408' TX Spur!!! I too am psyched and looking forward to seeing Carl, Scott, and Greg again by the fire with frosty brew(s) in hand. As you probably remember, last year I tore up my "spyder" gear in the rear diff at the "bottom" of MOAB. Not looking to repeat that this year, will keep that gas pedal in check...The Spring Spur sold out in 14 hours?? WOW, I am suprised especially since the server was down early that morning. I hope Santa was good to everyone and look forward to chattin' everyone up soon.

You should go sign up for the Fall Texas Spur. If you actually do it I'll pay for your campsite and get you a case of that Pearl Light you love so much.

I wouldn't know what Pearl Light is. I hear they drink it out there on the left coast.

BTW, it's time to change your avatar.

Motorhome Pics

At the 2006 Texas Spur I had a 37" Coach it so rocked:

It's a great place to take photos from...

From the JeepTales 2006 Texas Spur Review:
"The recent South Texas drought prevented us from having our traditional bonfires because of a countywide burn-ban in effect. But you all know just how resourceful Jeepers can be. Some folks layered clothing and bounced from campsite to campsite visiting old friends and finding new ones as they exchanging stories and swapped photos. My work partner Nick and I were loaned a beautiful 37 2005 Coachman Cross Country, from Ancira Motor Homes in Boerne which became our home away from home for a few days. This diesel motor home offered comfort, convenience, and plenty of warmth from the cold Hill Country nights. Since I was a boy Ive always loved tent camping but after spending a weekend in a luxury coach, my 10 x10 Jeep tents longevity may be in serious jeopardy. "

Here are a few pics from on top of the coach...
