I'm not sure what happened last year in Llano...

By the end of the second day we had rolled "3", all of them were accidents which could have easily been avoided, noone got hurt, and I've spoken to all of the folks over the year. All of them are coming back.

It's funny; when think, the South Texas Jeep Jamboree went 10 years without so much as a tip over and we wind up with three roll-overs in one weekend.

I'm sure there will be a renewed; even more diligent effort in safety this year.

If you did tip over we have a lot of practice getting you back on all four.

I have got to wonder....

I have been wheeling now for decades...

I was in High School in the back set of a old school Bronco and rolled about 15 times over a 200 sand hill drop back in El Paso.

Since then; I've been the driver 100% of the time and although I've broken a few things I have never rolled one over or even tipped on on its side since that mishap.

I like keeping my Jeeps' PRETTY!

I try to keep my friends on all four too!

Exclamation HOT Texas Spur JJUSA News

Not only have all the RV Spots sold out at the Oxford Camp Ground but here is part of an email I just got in from Tony Winkler, the Texas Spur Coordinator

________________________

"Greg,

Just wanted to let you know that as of Monday we had 83 registered for the Texas Spur. Looks like your prediction of a "Christmas" sellout will be pretty accurate if not well before. Just thought you might want to let folks know there aren√Ę‚ā¨‚ĄĘt many slots left. We will have to stop at 125 Jeeps.

Tony Winkler"

I can tell JJUSA is right around the corner when I start gettign email like this...

You Know you have a Bad Ass Off Road Jeep when:
  • Your jeep is so mean and nasty looking that other vehicles avoid you.
  • You can see over Suburbans, Expeditions, Navigators and Excursions.
  • You hunch over whenever entering a parking garage no matter what type of vehicle you're driving.
  • Your last lift takes you over the 7-foot garage height restrictions.
  • You spent a really unreasonable amount of money just to gain the extra inch of ground clearance.
  • You suffer from height envy (clearance envy, lift envy - insert one).
  • The location of your "blind spot" is above your "really blind spot," where anything shorter than a Buick disappears.
  • You have someone 'spot' you when parking at the mall.
  • The location of your vehicle's sway bar is either your backyard or your local dump.
  • Your jeep articulates so well that your hi-lift jack can't get the wheels off the ground.
  • You can air up your tires without stopping at a gas station.
  • Your life is preoccupied with finding alternative on-board air storage methods.
  • Any tire that isn't waist high looks like a bagel.
  • You can't hear your $2000 stereo over the howl of your tires on the highway.
  • You can't sneak into church late because the engine is too loud.
  • Your Nerf bars battle rocks and win.
  • You have a high-water mark INSIDE the Jeep.
  • You slam the door and chunks of dried mud crumble to the ground.
  • Your boss's secretary calls to "recommend" that you wash your Jeep.
  • You use a hose to clean the inside and the outside.
  • You finally wash the mud off and everyone thinks you bought a new Jeep.
  • The coin wash attendant says your jeep is too muddy to use the car wash.
  • You spend more on car washes than on insurance.
  • You nickname your Jeep after the noises it makes or it's most damaging trail accident.
  • Your wife/girlfriend refuses to get in it.
  • You can't take a girl, who's wearing a dress, on a date without carrying along a set of steps.
  • You are the only one on the street who doesn√Ę‚ā¨‚ĄĘt plow their driveway.
  • You get asked to pick up your co-workers in a snowstorm and get paid for it.
  • Your vehicle weighs 1000 lbs. more then it did when came off the assembly line.

Exclamation Another Headcount Update!

I just got off the Phone with Shannon DuCharme from the Jeep Jamboree office.

Shannon DuCharme

As of last night there were 88 Jeeps signed up for the Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree. They got 9 more in so far today.

My math makes that 97 if there are only 125 Spots for the event that means there are only 28 Spots leaft as of 3:30 pm CST.

Do you think they will sell out by this weekend?

Try it in a mini, Amy, even a stock jeep is a bear to get in and out of without flashing your business.

My first jeep was stock. That's how I know not to try it with my lifted jeep. My business would show under the jeep.
