Trails in Montana

Hi ya'll, I am comin back from Korea in 58 days and have a brand new 2011 wrangler waitin fer me. I used to drive full size trucks off roading, so the jeep is a new concept to me. So really what I am asking is, does anyone here know of any good trails in MT that would give me a decent ride and experience for me and my old man?

Welcome. And what part of MT? It's a big state.

The only one I've done in MT is one that started near Naples, ID and ended near Troy, MT. Wasn't difficult at all. I'll try to find my maps and get a number/name for you.

I live 8 miles from the border on I-15. I am more than willing to make a long travel, since I will be driving to get anywhere decent anyhow.

The trail I mentioned was in the far Northwest of MT and goes into Idaho. Forest road number in MT is 4402 and in ID it's 408.

Awesome. I have been to Troy before, thats where I picked up my dog. And I will be headed that way on a road trip into WA anyway so I will have to track down a good map and go ahead and hit it up. Thanks alot!

Thanks, I will have to pick that up when I come back home from Afghanistan now. my rig will have all kinds of new do-dads so should make the trail riding better!
