Have you thought about getting some 4.56s for yours? I know some are pairing the manual 12s with 4.88s though. Honestly man, you've spent a lot of time and effort into both your jeeps. You obviously love it because you dropped the coin into each and offer your skills to others to help with installs. I hear you about money though, I know we can all relate to that but if there is any other way to keep the jeep and figure something else out I'd go for it.

Every time I climb into my jeep I just smile. Its a blessing and a curse because I can't own anything else now with the same experience. 2x jeeps and counting for me so far.

I haven't drop nothing compare to my race cars lol gears won't help MPG. Stock will. Payin 75 bucks to fill up and getting 700+ miles out of a tank is very appealing to me lol Alot of it has to do with the jeep sitting in the garage the past winter. As most of you guys know.. I hate mud

Syncros going out...haven't driven her much all winter. But, it does better in the warm weather, so i had it out yesterday.

I got an 8.8 for the rear for Christmas, but haven't gotten it put in yet. Gotta get the other parts to do it.

She is drivable, but we have 2 Uwharrie trips coming up, and I didn't wanna kill her in the mud.

She WILL be fixed.

Anybody know a good 4x4 shop in the Raleigh/durham/chapel hill/Cary/Apex/Morrisville area OTHER than 4WheelParts in Raleigh?

JCROffroad sent me sliders but forget to send me the nutsert tool. As a result, I got halfway through the install (one plastic step off, hole drilled in side of jeep) only to discover I can't clamp the nutserts. Home Depot, Ace, and autozone don't sell nutsert tools, and even if JCR sends me a new tool, it could be weeks before I get enough free time to finish the job.

So I decided to just take them to a shop hopefully this week, but 4WheelParts told me today that they were booked until the second week of NEXT MONTH.

So I'm hoping to find a local shop--with nutsert tools--and availability for this week. Google suggests that 4WP is just about it.

Any ideas?

So my dad traded in his 12' 4 door jeep for a 12' 4 door saraha..fully load, dual tops and its all chromed out..(I don't like chrome really, never have lol) His reason was for trade was (it didn't ride great).

I laughed at this because he wanted the lift and the tires and not to look like a barbie lol. I can't believe he didn't let me put it back to stock. Alot of nice parts went with it. At least I got alot of stock parts not including 2 full sets of 16's with less than 800 miles on them.

I just got a 2012 JKU last week and live in Fuquay. I read that there is some big goings on next weekend at the Uwharie. Is anyone from Raleigh going? My jeep is still stock but I'd like to see if there are some trails I can do with my stock tires.
