I thought I was gonna have to order it through Amazon but I called 4 wheel parts in Raleigh today and they had it in stock. Cannot believe how much more functional the top panel of my Jeep is now. I never liked putting my GPS on the windshield and I've also got a place for my phone, iPod, change, glasses.

Was so much fun today! Shell, the TJ looks amazing with those new KM2s and I am now a serious believer of how well they do in the mud! After watching several others try the bog pit today with different tires and get stuck, it was really cool to see the KM2s on several go right through it. Lots of people came out today, was great to see everyone. I'm thinking we should all plan a trip down to Uwharrie one weekend soon since there are so many of us now. We are averaging about 10-15 Jeeps each meet up and the ol Selma playground is growing smaller and smaller because of it.

Can someone please buy me a set of those KM2s!!!!!

It was a blast!!! I plowed through at high speed the first time, cause i didnt want to get stuck....but then went through slower/crawlin...and was amazed that she went through without a bit of trouble.

Jude: Did you get pics by any chance????

No today was the first time I came without my camera. I knew I was gonna regret it! Now I'm home getting ready for the playoff game and watching videos of people on youtube with those KM2s. Can you say obsessed?

I've been looking into the BF Goodrich all-terrains or just going for the mud-terrain KM2s. Either one would be better than the ones I got on there now

Are you going to get the same size? The BFG AT are available in 265/70/17 which would fit your stock rim but you'll actually be going to a slightly smaller size tire than your stock 255/75/17. Its not much but that middle number will mean you'll be getting about 31.8 inches in place of your current 32.1 inch stock SR-A.

If you go with the MT then I would look for a set of either the KM1 or KM2. If you can find a fulls set of KM1s then order them because BFG is phasing them out in favor of the KM2. The KM1s are available in 255/75/17 the same size as what your stock is now. If you go for the newer KM2 then you'll have to either choose from 265/70/17 or 285/70/17. The second are 33 inch tires and they are gonna feel a lot different.

Yes I know I know too much about tires...I think I'll stop researching them so much once I get a new set on. Nah!!!

I figure if I'm going to get new tires, i might as well upgrade to a bigger size.

And yes you do know a bit about tires

Nope you can fit 285/70/17s on your stock rims no problem. They are 33 inch tires.

No problem sister! Those will fit fine on your stock rims but they could rub a little on full turning lock. You might want to talk to others who have that size on their JKs before you pick up a set. Also, with 33's your going to notice a difference in power and MPG for certain. Lots to think about

You're best bet (and least expensive) will be to get a set of Rubicon takeoffs. People sell them all the time. I bought a set of 5 for $550 then sold my SRA's for $300.

I found a set of 4 BFG KM1 MT 255/75/17 new shipped to my door for $744. I've been checking craigslist and calling shops for a long time now and haven't seen any locally. Thinking of moving on these if I don't see some take offs soon but soon as I do you know I'll see a full set of 5 on craigslist for $450-600.
