FWIW, I went out there a month ago with OH9JK and we ran every trail except Daniel. And I only have a leveling kit, 33s, and disconnected.

That's good to know! Maybe we can run the majority of them if it doesn't downpour

Daniel is a "NO GO" from the top of the mountain down to the Cottonplace trail head. The trail has had considerable wash outs since the opening of the trail system this year and without major mods it is impassible. Dutch John is easily doable unless it has rained. The long hill climb is very slippery when wet and is usually a moderate climb when dry, there is also a rocky section headed down just before the creek. 4wd is likely needed. Dickey Bell is a good trail but it does have a pretty rough rocky hill climb that is around 150yds long or so. 4wd is needed for it though there are multiple routs to be taken up the hill. Wolf's den, Fall's Dam and Slab Pile are the easiest trails there. Wolf's den is little more than a rough logging road. Rocky Mountain loop is the home of Kodack Rock. It can break things if you are not careful but there are lines to take that can get you up the hill or you can always take the bypass. All this information is assuming you run the trails the same direction I did.

I was there this past Saturday before any rain, obviously with the addition of water conditions change.

Who here wants to go to the TW trails in Raleigh tomorrow? I think jgeorge , eat dirt, us and a few others are up for it. I don't know where they are though but jgeorge does. Lets get a head count for 4th of July wheeling. I'm thinking earlier in the day is going to be better since most have plans starting in the evening. How about 10 or 11 am?

I might be down. I'm all the way on the coast. Would it be worth it for me to drive down there?

Maybe if doing TW and Page Rd in same day, but I wouldn't say that a drive from the coast would be worth it for that trail.

That being said, the girl is gonna be with me, so I gotta pass on the trail ride tomorrow. Anything for this weekend??

I did Daniel about a month ago with 2" budget boost 1" body lift and 33s. Standard transmission makes it very interesteing to say the least. I had to get strapped to a jeep in front of me when I started lifting a tire a few feet off the ground. Sketchy! And I probably wont do it again until I get a locker or two or my taller more flexible lift.

Drove out to the Alexander trail today. I think I found both entrances. I stored them in my GPS anyway but it looks like a fun place to go. The hill climb at the end of the road is pretty nasty looking. I think I heard that some here wanted to go there this weekend? What day time?
