Excellent!!! I'll let the hubs know so he won't make any plans. I. Don't know about camping but definately want to do some runs with you guys and meet everyone. It was a good combination of dust, mud and fun for sure. I'll keep an eye on the thread.

Oh my...Graham NC? you are rock throwing distance from me! I need to see pics of your rig so I know who I am waving to!
If you are who I think you are, we wave at eachother almost daily. I believe I pass you on Rogers Road or Southern High School Road literally every day. lol.

Currently just a stock JKU with tinted windows, grill mod, and stickers removed. (none of which were done when this pic was taken, lol).

A stock JKU would do very well on the easy to modest trails at Uwharrie. It would come down more to how comfortable you are with your Jeep and offroading for most of the trails. There are several easy ones that are no damage trails if your careful such as Wolf Den and a few others. Most have easy or bypass routes for hard spots so you can manage your way around them. A good thing to do is drive down and meet up with other Jeepers and watch or ask questions about what your not sure of. I would recommend trailing with at least one other person your first time. You can also go down and park at most of the trail entrances and walk them or just watch others too. There are maps available down there at most gas stations around the park that will guide you to the easy trails and stuff. If you don't have any offraoding experience, just take it easy and play it safe. You'll enjoy your trip much more and learn a lot at the same time!

Shell, I think ortiz is gonna help me this weekend to put my lift on. I can't wait! Putting on light bar mount and possibly side panel rocker armor too.

How would a bone stock Unlimited (including craptastic SR-A tires) and a brand-new-to-offroading driver do at Uwharrie? I know things like Daniel are out of the question, but aside from those difficult trails and obstacles, how would I fare?
I don't want to lead you on the wrong path. My jeep is bone stock but I have the 32 inch bfg's and 17 inch wheels and I have a little bit more clearance. You can definately make it but you are gonna hear your skidplate go over the mounds that are on every trail. I don't know about your tires though. Definately go with someone who is familiar with the area and can lead you around the bad areas.

You will slip a little more with the SR-As for sure but if you don't plan on muddin while your there then you'll mostly be on dirt and gravel. You can still have fun and learn a lot with your rig.

Sup 4fit?!? I'm rock throwing distance from you as well. It's ironic how you & Shell pass each other daily, and you came across this forum! Small "Jeep" World! I've only wheeled with these guys once in Selma... They are all super nice & helpful. Plus, your SILVER Jeep will fit right in, lol.

If you ever just want to climb a hill or sling some mud, there is a neat little spot in Mebane. It's great for a quick fix. Pics & vid of location below...

I had an offer to go...but didn't. I know where Poser Rock is....my girl climbed on one of the baby rocks on it! :p

I know of 3 Sammy buds that went and took pics on it....might it have been this rig or one in that group?

No, I found it, but I have to watch it on a different comp. later to make sure the language is OK. From what I was told, this guy actually goes all the way over it!

The 3 I mention have done it before. That is why I am patiently waiting for the footage....:whistling:

Remember that sami that went through the really swampy part of Selma when we were all back in there deep looking a new route? That was crazy! I know that both of those guys were just drenched in mud goo..
Blake. Yes. I ended up with the same mess on me after you left.

My how things can change over the course of a day. lol. I am now in talks with someone to possibly pick up a used set of 33" KM2s. :D Not sure if it will happen or not, but its definitely a possibility.
I have 33" KM2s....LOVE THEM! If you don't snag them, lemme know. I may be interested if the price is right. ;)

I never heard back from you last week if you was going to need my help or not and I have made some plans for this weekend that I might have to change to replace my shocks if they come in because I discovered I have a busted right rear shock, so I'm going with 4 new ones. I'll see what my wife has plans for next weekend, so let me know if ortiz is not available to help you this weekend, we will eventually get that on for you.

Any TJ owners on here want to get a black Rugged Ridge Fuel Door Cover? Ordered one for my JK from Amazon and they sent me one for a TJ instead. They had pictures of it on a JK on their add for it but I guess it got mixed up. Can meet anyone here locally if you want it $50.

I can put some pics up for any interested. :)
