I'll have it on the jeep tomorrow for a better look. But if i can get a head count and how many people would like one all it take's is a phone call. for the base black and white is going to be 10 bucks each how it is right now ... Trent i'll see what kind of green setup i can hook the hulk up with
Oh and I'm very new to the 4x4 experience besides playing with it behind my house and going up a rock embankment at the 4 Wheel Parts Performance shop haha.
I think I need to go to a harder compound tire the pavement is getting a little to hot and pushing it threw the turn ... Kyle this is on the gsxr 750 srad
Oh snap, look at the little chicken strips on the srad junxx!!!! Jk man, looking good. Is that a Dunlop Qualifier or a Pirelli? I had the Pilot Power 2CT's on mine. Makes me miss my R1.
I know I want a 2.5" lift, still trying to nail down exactly what I want, but my question is wheels/tires. I know I want 35"s. I'm thinking of getting 15"s (wheels). Any downsides to going this route? It just makes buying the tires so much cheaper, like $100/tire cheaper.
If I buy a new set of 15" wheels with 35"s and sell my take-offs, its way cheaper than going with 17" 35s and the required spacers I would need with my stockers.
I think the budget lift and 35's is exactly what you need, although I have 0 experience with JK's. Ray prob has the best experience with a JK Rubi on 35's. And he just got rid of his 15's on 35's to Bret, and he loves them. a 15" wheel is by far the best suize for sidewall play and airing down.
The only thing that you have to do as far as brakes is to grind down the bracket about a millimeter.
Tire wise that will be your preference, the KM2 is great in mud. The Nitto trail grapplers were pretty good as well, the Wranglers are quieter on the street.
KM2's FTW! Also check out the MTR's. A few of us run them, and don't judge my 35" KM2's this past weekend. It was the overweight, underpowered 4.0 that killed me.
I want that sticker lol. oh and I learned why my jeep was getting 10 mpg, the air intake filter had bird feathers in it and the spark plugs....well they dont look great but ill post them and if anyone could give me info on them that would be great. ps engine is sounding great now Ubuntu One : Photo Album those are the sparkies thanks guys. ill upload some pictures of her tonight
My personal take on the sticker is this: I'm not sure I like both the white and the black together. I think something that was all one color would work better for me. I think monochrome would be a lot more subtle. This is just my opinion though. It may not be possible with the current design though.
On a side note, I have a question for the group.
I'm researching lifts and wheels/tires.

A buddy of mine did the same as you have described regarding 15 inch rims and now says he has overheating brakes very regularly. And regarding the sticker, Maybe a clear background instead of white will be better.
I run 35's (Kelly Safari's which is the cheaper duratrac) with a teraflex leveling kit. On the road with regular fenders it was fine, rubbed on the trail. I cut them down and it is fine now. They are on 17's and I agree the 15's are great from a price standpoint. not looking forward to replacing them..
Of course at that point, Ray is going to try to convince me I need 37's
I will check RAW but wondering if anyone is going on tomorrow. I convinced the wife and son to go ....
I run 35's too (Toyo Open Country MTs) with 18" rim and Rubicon Express 3.5. The tires do rub offroad and still need to cut my fenders but I think they do pretty good until I get the chance to cut them. Hope you can decide what you want to get I know it took me awhile to decide.

Thanks for the input everyone. This is not a small purchase, so I'm trying to gather all the info I can before hand, then submit my business case to the wife ;-)
Right now I'm looking at this setup, still need to fill in some holes and/or could use more advice:
Wheels: 15" Level 8 Trackers -19 back spacing, this is different than the -30bs wheel they had for a long time, so the tires should tuck a little nicer.
Tires: 35x12.50xR15 BFG KM2s. I really like the stock KM2s on the Rubi, so no need to mess with a good thing. The 15" tire is so much cheaper than the 16 or 17.
Lift: TF2.5 or RK2.5 Flex. I'm still not exactly sure which bits I need. On-road drive is most important to me, since thats where 95% of the driving will take place. I could use the most advice as to which kit/extra parts I really need.
I know someone prior said I won't get much lift with the 10A, but it is supposedly only .5" taller than the regular Rubi and plenty of others have lifted their 10As with 2.5s and had very good results, so I'm thinking I should be good as well.
Hope I'm on the right path. Please let me know if I'm going in the wrong direction.
I plan to sell my existing wheels/tires and coils/shocks to offset the cost of all this.
So anyone local, be on the lookout for some 10A takeoffs.

Trust me, I wasn't saying you shouldn't lift. I was just trying to point out that you could run 35s on an aftermarket wheel without issue on a 10a. When you decide to sell your stock suspension, let me know. I have a few friends here in Knox that would love it.
OK question, at the end of the video, I heard you or it was someone else say... get me a lighter, Im new to this stuff, so what would or did the lighter do?
with either gas or lighter fluid, you can pop a bead back on a tire with ease. sounds and looks kinda crazy but it works great. that way they could reseal the bead on the wheel and air it back up
Stu, if you get 15" rims make sure you have the right back spacing (3.75 or lower) otherwise you will have major issue with your caliper touching the inner from rims. With 3.75 back spacing you just need to grind about a mm on d44. The set that Bret Jeep use to be mine, pro comp steel wheel + GY wrangler MTR = 90lbs not bad at all! hey everyone, new to the forums. Seeing some sweet Jeeps up here. This is the best forum i have seen so far in this area. '95 Jeep Wrangler YJ 2.5l. Haven't really done much to it, it is mostly stock other than the front and back guard and the nerf bars.
Thanks Ray.
I've been talking with DiscountTire on this board and they assured me that this wheel does not rub the brake caliper on the JK Rubi.
