So, what do you guys think my takeoff parts should be able to fetch?
From what I have read so far, $1000 for the wheels/tires seems pretty feasible. Wonder if I could net a bit more for 10A wheels.
I have no idea what the coils/shocks from the 10A should fetch. Can you guys offer some suggestions as to what to list them for once I get them off? These do have an extra 1/2" over the stock Rubis

I saw this forum while looking for places to go wheelin, so I created a account and would love to meet you out there. I have heard of TW but where is it at and what time would every one meet up?
TW is TW Alexander north Raleigh, also Page rd in the area.
Look above and there is a Friday night ride, and most likely a Sunday afternoon Rock ride (Rock Quarry Rd, southeast Raleigh near Walnut Creek).
Check out the Raleigh Area Wheelers page (and linked pages for some other groups too).
I am in Cary as well (Apex line on Rt 55). Welcome!!
I am trying to free up Sunday afternoon as well, Friday is out for me unfortunately... really want to get a night ride in too.
I have wondered about that area but haven't gone there. Our reference to TW is the other way, past Page and actually going down Roche dirt road.
Maybe an investigation on the healthplex area is in order...
Just a check, is anyone around for a quick run tomorrow at lunch if it doesn't rain? I had a few guys at work that wanted to go and check out 4wheelin and I work in Brier Creek.
So I was thinking about tomorrow around 11:30 or 12?
Hey like you guys know I am new to all this but I'm available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if your willing to invite me I would love to come out and meet you all in person and have some good fun just let me know what I need and where to go
Ok guys im thinking meet up at fuel stop little brier creek at 8:30 to 9:00 friday evening the adress is 10250 little brier creek ln raleigh nc 27617 all newbies welcome! OlllllO RAW
TW is in really good shape mud/wet wise... I was surprised. Got stuck with the diff hung going slower through one mud hole, and bailed before the deep one towards the end since I was solo. I am not as impressed with the Safari's.
But overall very good, and introduced someone new to it!
I don't have the tools (or the competence) to upgrade my gearing. This is a daily driver so I can't afford for it to be done incorrectly or take that much time for it to be installed.
4WD Parts in Raleigh quoted me a bucket of money to perform the work. I also planned to install a selectable locker in the front at the same time so that took the price up accordingly. I trust 4WD Parts to do the work because they obviously do this a-lot and my service experience with them has been very positive.
But I wonder, are there other shops in and around Raleigh that people trust who would charge significantly less and still do excellent work with a couple day or less turn around?
Hey check out East Coast Gear Supply. Its right in Raleigh, it is located at 6508 Mt Herman Rd Raleigh, NC 27617 and this is their number (919) 672-2705 . I got quoted 1500 from them and 2500 from Super Trucks Plus. But thats for both front and rear diff. I am going to just get the rear done for now and they said it would be about 600 for the job. I have had buddies that have gone to ECGS and said that they do very good work!!! Should check them out!!
Heres their website! Drivetrain Specialists East Coast Gear Supply
I'm tied up the next few weekends, but would like to meet up one these weekends. I live in Knighrdale and have been over to the rock area myself. Nice play area. I would like to venture to TW sometime. It would be nice to have a group to wheel with.
Yes, stock is fine. Especially with some others in case you do get stuck or anything. Tow points?
Since it isn't as wet as it has been it is a great run.....
Have fun you guys!
Nathan, nice mud rig. Commitment through the mud hole!!
