Oh and having grown up in Haywood Co, and very frequent trips to Asheville, I would rather spend the weekend in Harmen's Den and 12 Mile than the Blue Ridge Parkway.

"lots of off the beaten path where your puppy can run, and well ya'll can have a blanket party type picnic in private."

12 mile is the road to the left of the exit and Harmen to the right.
12 mile is the back door way into Cataloochee Valley. Hurricane Creek is about 2 miles away.

Best Place to eat is Copper River Grill in Asheville.
Thirsty Monk (south) is great
Wedge Brewery is also great
I'm not that impressed with Wicked Weed. It's a cool place but the food is a little over priced and the beer hasn't blown me away.

I put "Harmen Den" in Google Maps and came up with zip. Where is this exit? We are heading to the Western part of the state in a couple of weeks and I'd like to see if it will be nearby.

Anybody going to Uhwarrie this Saturday? PM me if you want to meetup at the Outpost tomorrow. I'm not modded enough for Daniel but I'd like to do some of the milder trails again now that I have 35's.

Look up Max Patch. Same area. Harmen's Den is the exit name off of I 40.
Its the last exit before crossing into Tn.

If you want some nice mountain roads, take 26N from Asheville up to Wolf Laurel. It's a ski resort with some gorgeous views and picture opportunities.

Loving the hood dude! Is install pretty basic? Do you tape down a template and then cut? Do you have to paint the raw metal where you cut?

I'm definitely thinking about it. Did you guys do it strictly for cosmetics or strictly for heat dissipation? Either way it looks freakin awesome.

Also does it come powder coated or did you guys just paint it?

Well u can order it powder coated or bare metal and do it yourself.i did it my self since i did my rock sliders my self and went ahead and painted the front grill black to finish the look.i did it for both reasons it looks badass and it gets pretty hot in the trails and promoting cool air in any way isnt a bad idea
