Trail maintenance I believe. Happens every year but I think you can still go up there and volunteer and wheel.

I think that's what the 4X4 clubs do.

When you say running up the front of Daniel..which part is the front? Or what part are you referring to?

The part with the wall on your driverside and on top of that wall there is a tree that is full of paint and glass, then you go on to the huge rock. That side lol.

The front side off Rocky Mountain Loop, eventually you end up at the lower end of the top of Daniel . It would take balls of steel to run it going down that side. The back side is mainly just dirt and hills.

As for being closed, they close every year in December and reopen in April. Trail maintenance is done then, but it is mainly because it snows in the winter months and is too dangerous to ride and causes bad erosion.

Its really a great place Shell. I've been wanting to take you with us back there. Very large area with tons of hills, mud, and fun places. Lots to do in 4L too. I haven't been in several months.

My daughters and I had a great time on Sunday! Thanks to Chris for inviting us! I guess I have to add this forum to my list to watch. I have been on a couple of the other forums for over 15 years, and wheeling since I was 8 years old in a Willy's on my grandfathers farm.

Daniel was a ton of fun and would like to run that one again next time as there were a couple of different ways to go towards the top.

Thanks, built it with side tub protectors and sealed the lower portion to double as a second air tank for my OBA system. Raised the tire up a bit so I could go up to a 39" tire and still use the pintle hitch for my M416 camping trailer. Has a 37" spare on it now and it will adjust in and out for a wider tire or I can take off the gas can on the other side and slide back the tire closer to the tailgate if I wanted.

This is an older pic of it before I put the rear quarters and LED's on the TJ. You can see the side of it and the red air hose going into it from this angle.

Glad you were able to make it. Maybe next time I'll try it locked, I think I would do better. My passenger was to busy holding on to take pics.
