Just returned to Ohio from Chattanooga on Sunday after a week of kids softball. My son and I managed to sneak away twice to Prentice Cooper State Forest in my new 2011 stock unlimited. We had an awesome time! If you send me a private message, I will email you a map that we found on the Internet (they did not have any at the park) as when we out the first time, we got pretty lost. Tons of trails and although we have nothing to compare to (our first time) we thought it was pretty neat. Couple streams, couple mud holes and puddles and some pretty steep climbs over some rough rocks. Park was free and only saw one other jeep in about 3 hours of riding. We stayed in a hotel off of Lookout Mountain and the Prentice Cooper was about 30 min away with about 20 min of freeway and 10 min getting up to the paths.

On this map, the check in center is at the top center of the PDF. So you will be entering the park fro the top

Nice, thanks for posting the map. I plan to drive down from Knoxville and check this place out in the next month. I'll post my review too!

Anyone got any more info on Prentice Cooper? Might be in that area around the first of Oct with Mrs. jeepolina. Is there any indication on maps / signs as to the difficulty of the trails? My 2011 JKU will still be stock except for a stubby bumper. Are there trails I need to avoid?

Thanks for any info!
