Wanna ride in VA

Hi Everyone! We are new to owing a Jeep. Just got a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport and would love to off road in VA (nearer Northern VA) next weekend. Can anyone offer some suggestions? Are there any clubs in the NOVA area? Like I said we are NEW and don't know where to begin! Thank you for any suggestions, help, advice, or guidance anyone can provide!

I think there are some others, but I do know of this club in NOVA NOVA Jeepers

There isn't much in terms of offroading in this area, so you'll likely have to take a ride to another place.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any suggestions? Do you belong to a club or group?

If your looking for a beginners trail then there are some power lines in Bristow. Right off of Linton Hall or Wellington rd. (The trail connects them) been there plenty of times never had problems and not completely sure if its legal. But, again never been in any trouble.

Peters Mill Run and Taskers Gap are short but fun, unfortunately they are both closed till April. Flagpole (Harrisonburg, VA) seems to be the only place open. I have not been personally (trying to plan a trip within the next few weeks) but I have heard good things about it. There are a lot of trails that split off the main trail that will give you plenty of time to play =) Also, from what I understand, it is possible for a stock vehicle to make it up, but you will need to be careful and have a spotter in a few areas. If you have a modified vehicle there are parts of the trail that you can choose a more advanced route.
There are a few people planning to go up Flagpole on 2/16, if you are interested in joining just let me know. Hope this helps.
