Count me in. I am on the wait list for the Killington, VT Jeep Jamboree that weekend but this is much closer and sounds like more fun.

I'm really looking forward to this. I need to stock up on camping gear. Will there be room for all of us?

I just installed a BDS 2in kit. Shocks and springs. Still need to do some tweaks. Like adding 3/4 spacers up front to level her, and sorting out bumpstop extensions. Maybe SB disconnects.

SO let's go down a check list of stuff to bring.

Beer.

Food.

Water.

More beer.

OK, now a serious discussion on camping. I want to limit what I bring, so will there be plenty of grills set up? I can pack food, water, beer, and my camping essentials. Will I need something like a Coleman camping stove?

Would it be a good idea to remove the rear seat to fit more stuff?

BTW, I've got a Q9000 winch, and recovery gear. The gear consists of one snatch block, one ARB tree protector, one Smitty 3inx30ft recovery strap, a couple of Drings and a 3lb fire extinguisher. I also have an air pump and full tire plug kit.

Also, anyone planning on heading out Thursday?

JULY 19-21 is the date.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This will be the official thread for the Second Annual WF ride at Rausch Creek in Tremont, PA. Rausch Creek Off Road Park We will probably be running green and blues, the easier trails, with some blue blacks and of course harder trails if your rigs can handle it. Should be a good weekend of fun. If anyone has any questions contact me, Bear94 or InvertChaos for details. The date is currently open for discussion. Anyone is welcome to join us If you know what trails you plan on running etc let us know. I will add everything to an "official list" I make so we can organize into wheeling groups out there.

You NEED:
At least one tow point front and rear
Working 4 wheel drive with low range (unless otherwise equip)
Spare tire (doesn't have to be a full size, its your spider gears that will want it though)

You SHOULD HAVE:
An offroad or more aggressive tire tread. If you are stock and bringing stock (road only) tires, I would look into picking up a used set.
Water, sunscreen, bug spray, your own money, etc.

Attendee list: + several Non-WF members (not on list)

1. Ryan, Goldensahara00 + ???
2. Kenny, Bear94

Last year, we only had one grill that Bear94s friend brought. However there are plenty of fire pits supplied by the park. You can bring a grill if you feel like it. We usually eat diner out a night. A big cooler might be a good idea, we pick up ice at a nearby gas station out there. Bring some sunscreen bug spray that kind of stuff too, trust me. And make sure you guys all have some cash to pay for various stuff.

I'll be headed out friday I'm pretty darn sure. Rear seat is up to you. I don't even own one. I pack a ton of gear and always have a ton of tools as well.

Just wanted to confirm...its July 19-21, right? I know at the beginning of the thread the date was being discussed, and haven't had time to read through the entire thing yet

was just reading more of the thread so wanted to help you organize. My dad and I will be running Greens (and maybe some blues) assuming Greens' are "easiest". We have a stock JKUR.

Thanks!

You can get away with some blues. Some are a bit easier than others. I'll be running mainly blues and some greens. I'm planning on getting myself stuck on one of the first hills on the first blue we were on last year. Two doors are just short enough to clear it. I think the 4 doors are just long enough to end up on the rockers.

my montero on 31s has done the majority of the blues there with out much fuss. your JKUR will have no problems with all but the most extreme of the blues as long as you are careful in how you pick your line

Definitely. I have a 2.5" lift from after the trip last year and still stock with tires and everything else, so I'll not be out there doing anything too wild. Plus if you're following the guy in the Montero just keep repeating, "If the MitusJeepi can do it, I can do it."

I posted this in a couple of other threads..... It's been a while since I camped, and I've never been to Rausch, so....

Rausch camping.....

This is my first time there. What do they mean by "primitive"? Is there plenty of space to pitch a tent? Hopefully it's dirt or grass so I could drive stakes. Are there toilets? I think I can do without a shower for the duration, There's always baby wipes. Military style.

Maybe we could discuss what to consider if we're planning on camping here.

Is it safe to leave the tent pitched while wheeling? What about a grill?

Yes plenty space to pitch a tent. As primitive means no water no no showers no toilets. There is some ports johns. And they r real nice haha. There is plenty if local food places only few mikes away. But u can bring grille and food also. Tents stay up when u r out wheeling. Just keep anything special home or with u.

x2. we should have plenty of room to camp. Last year we ended up out there the same weekend as toyota takeover.... so it was cramped. But we made it work. I plan on getting there earlier in the afternoon and staking out some land for our group.

Cool. Portajohns will do. Baby wipes will be my shower, it's only a couple days anyway.
