Looks like this may come down to whether or not I can manage to get rock rails in time for that weekend.

I think I'm going to leave that Friday and meetup with ConArtist, but I'm not sure yet. I'm located in Purcellville.

Looks like I might be ordering rails next week. Would I really need them on those trails anyways?

If I get everything setup, I could meet up with you guys as well. I live probably about 10-15 minutes away from Con Artist.

Schnutzy, looks like fun, goodluck getting a YJ

Six, you don't need anything, just depends how hard of trails you want to run and if you want to get some boo-boos. Did you say you have a stock jku? you should be fine to run with the stockers either way. Good spotting and patience and we should all go home in pretty good shape

I am dropping RC an email to double check the dates and everything, and let them know some of us will be camping, and anything else that we may need to know.

oh and what time do you guys plan on arriving on site on friday? I am gona try to plan so I roll in around the same time as everyone else

last time i was out there in the montero, the only mod i had are the 31 inch tires. got a few little scuffs and scraps on the factory skids, but that was more of an IFS thing. the trails at RC are pretty forgiving for stock vehicles, lots of bypasses, etc. pick the right lines and you could go lots of places and not actually need any armor.

http://www.rauschcreekoffroadpark.org/maps/trails.pdf

everyone check out the trail list and the maps, and lets put together some of the trails we would like to run, and figure out who is going in which groups if we decide to split up. For those of you who went before, let us know what was fun, want wasn't and anything else interesting

What time are we planning on meeting up? My wife probably won't get back here until about 6:30. Hagerstown is about 30-40 minutes away from my house.

I also need to book that hotel reservation! Things have gotten a bit hectic around here and it's totally slipped my mind! We've had some medical issues with one of our cats come up and we've taken a hit in the wallet. He's doing pretty horrible so he may not even be around in a few weeks.

I'm gonna have to take it pretty light as I can't really afford any "boo-boos" right now. It's a stretch for me to be able to make the trek in the first place with everything that's come to a head within the past few weeks.

You'll be fine done worry. Avoid all the bad blues. I have a list of the trails and have been taking notes as to what's good and bad and dangerous for anyone who wants to see. We can always walk part of a trail first as well. Two days gives us a boat load of time.

Sounds good! Since I've never wheeled before I'll want to stay mostly with fairly "beginner" stuff, so I guess that'll make me the boring party. As long as there are bypasses for the harder stuff, I'll be good. That'll give me a chance to pull over and watch so I can pick up some pointers, not to mention, I'm gonna be driving a stocker.

So I have a few questions...

- Where's everyone staying? My wife and I are booking at the Hampton in Pine Grove.

- How many people are going?

- What do we need to bring?

- Is a CB radio something I'll need? If so, what can I get that's decently priced and won't be something I have drill up the vehicle for? I don't wanna hack up a vehicle for something I'm going to use once.

- What time is everyone planning on meeting up on Saturday and Sunday? I may be a late arrival so if need be, I wanna make sure I can meet up with you guys on the trails.
