Boring party is fine, no one will push you to try anything you don't want, an from what I understand there are Tons of bypasses. However a stock jk is better off than a stock Tj IMO due to tire size and diff height and wheel base. You'll be fine.

I'm camping. We had 10 rigs going plus two maybes plus my friend. So anywhere from 10-13 rigs and counting. Not sure how many people per rig. I'm gona guess around 20-25 people total.

As far as the morning. Trails open at 7 I think. An early start might be nice if we want out of the noon sun for a break.

Cb radio, check out Dag's ^ no drill there.

Bring some hand tools of you can. I have mine and so do others. I have fire extinguisher. Hammers lots of tools. I am CPR certified but otherwise don't know much medic stuff. Anyone have a first aid kit or medic training of any kind? I'm gona pull some stuff together. You will want bottled water, a cooler. Some good trail food. I would bring sunscreen and white shirts because it can get hot. A few towels. Black trash bags and clothes pins make great seat covers for mud.

X2 we won't push anyone to do something they're not comfortable with. No worries about backing away from certain obstacles as I'll probably be doing the same on certain parts.

I was thinking I wanted to leave on Friday and meet up with Barrie for lunch in Hagerstown.

All good ideas to add to the list!

Okay, looks like I'll probably miss that boat, but no worries. We'll be up Friday night and catch up on Saturday.

I'll look into those items!

Anyone from around Lancaster or reading going? Also, anyone bringing bambinos? I get back in ten days and tug them around as much as possible...

As long as there are bypasses for the harder stuff, I'll be good. That'll give me a chance to pull over and watch so I can pick up some pointers, not to mention, I'm gonna be driving a stocker.

So I have a few questions...

- Where's everyone staying? My wife and I are booking at the Hampton in Pine Grove.

- How many people are going?

- What do we need to bring?

- Is a CB radio something I'll need? If so, what can I get that's decently priced and won't be something I have drill up the vehicle for? I don't wanna hack up a vehicle for something I'm going to use once.

- What time is everyone planning on meeting up on Saturday and Sunday? I may be a late arrival so if need be, I wanna make sure I can meet up with you guys on the trails.
i will be arriving saturday morning and camping. if you dont have a cb, that is ok. atm i dont have one either. they are very useful to have, but not needed.
as far as what to bring, make sure you have lots of water. it can get pretty warm out there, and being dehydrated out on the trail is not good. bug spray might be good too. of the three times ive been there, ive only needed it once, but it sucks when you need it and dont have it.
most of us bring tools. they are good to have for any trail side fixes, etc, but you dont need to go crazy and bring your whole garage.

first two times i went, the plan was to drive up saturday morning, arrive about 8-8:30 and be on the trail by 9. not sure if that is something people would like to do this time as well.

I think most of us are going down Friday, camping, then hitting the trail as soon as it opens. Any time people want to show up is fine, its not some official trip, but as it gets closer we will exchange phone numbers and such.

I coach high school basketball and am also trained in cpr. My specialty is calling 911 when there's an emergency.

I still don't know if we're a definite definite. It's been a crazy summer, and July is going to be busy, and I know sometimes my man just wants to have a lazy weekend that doesn't include me forcing him to drive 2-3 hours away.

Anyway... quick question for you guys. Is anyone bringing a dog or has brought a dog? I just need to figure out whether or not I need to make some arrangements for my pup for the day/night or if I can/should drag him along.

And also make sure you have a leash or something. I don't plan on chasing spot through the woods.

Booked our hotel this mornin'!

Tom, how does that handheld antenna mount? I'm getting ready to order one of those setups. Unfortunately, we had a bad storm hit us and we don't have internet for a few days. I can't get a good enough look at it on my cellphone.

Thanks. I always clean up. There are too many health issues related to fecal matter to leave it. Are there waste cans around to toss it in, or just in limited places?

I don't trust him completely and I know he likes chasing rabbits. He is always leashed. I'm risking enough poison ivy just being in a wooded area... No need to make it definite by chasing him through it.

Awesome, should be no issue then. If i recall correctly there are only a few trash cans at the main place, but I don't quite remember.

I'll bring my trasharoo but I'd rather not put poop in it.

It's a direct replacement for the rubber antenna that comes with the handheld. It's a metal antenna that extends for added reception.
