Wheeling in Aruba

The wife and I just got back from spending a week in Aruba. While being a Caribbean island, it is mostly desert and uninhabited (all the touristy stuff and most residences are along the south shore). We rented a 2011 JK Sahara with 821 km on the clock, headed to the north shore, and popped it's cherry on the trail. I made a couple of videos with our GoPro, and I am still playing with exactly where to mount it for the best view.

In the 1st video, we are just tooling around on pavement on the developed south side of the island.

In the second video, we take it off road on the north shore.

All in all, had a great time! I also posted some non-Jeep related videos on my YouTube channel also shot with the GoPro.

(cant see videos here at work)

Did you guys venture up to that Natural Pool on the north shore? We had quite the adventure getting to it in a old busted TJ with super gouged tires. Sliced a sidewall and had to borrow a jack from someone there because the stupid rental didnt have one

Not on this trip, but we've been there before, or I should say my wife has, she's been going long before we got together.

Wish they had newer JK's while I'm in Bonaire!!

Problem is, you can't fit 9 scuba tanks in the back of a JK when you have 4 people in it.

Heh, and Aruba is SO much more populated/developed than Bonaire next door...

-97 TJ with a few mods. PM with questions.
