7mile Rim, Moab 3/27/11 Pics

Had a great day on the trail yesterday. Actually got the date wrong, 3/26/11, lol. Those attending: Julie & her Husband Jeff, her Son Jarrod, his dogs Chevy & Aussie, Chad & Ariah, Bruce and Hack.

Julie please post more pics in here. you were always out front & I had the little jeep this time. I got a few glimpses of her from time to time, lol.

The four rigs sported 8", 7", 4.5" & 3.5" lifts. The trail was rated difficult by Charles Wells. However he stated that it was less dificult than Top of the World trail, I beg to differ. Nevertheless, Wells' book once again proved to be invaluable, providing perfect waypoints & directions throughout. A must have. Thanks to Bob for suggesting it.

Here's the Crew. Once again, Jeff & Julie were impressive leaders. Please note the nasty hill we just traversed behing us. Ask Chad how much he enjoyed that part of the trail, lol.

As usual, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking!!

Ever seen Dogs Gone Wild??? It's amazing!!

Jarrod in "The Crack"

Me taking a safer approach, lol.

Uranium Arch

A fun spot:

I was seriously thinking about trying to make it for Memorial Day. But the gas alone would be around $1000. If i can discipline myself to go easy on mods for the next year maybe I can get out there in 2012.

Thanks Julie, and thanks Jeff for spotting. That was the toughest obstacle of the day in my opinion. Spun my junk pretty good right there.

I'd try it. Straight up that right side and straddle what looks like two cuts in the rocks. Then pick up the pieces.

I was impressed with my little jeep. It got us through some pretty big obstacles. You still make things look easier than they actually are. As far as that hill, no fricken way!!! I know my limits, they are plentiful.
But thanks for the kind words Julie.

That's what makes it fun. And I rock...I don't touch mud anymore. I've had my fill of it with mud trucks I use to build.

I like the challenges. Missouri has made me a well rounded wheeler. I'm use to hills like that with slat and loose dirt/mud on it. Of course a well rounded rig and picking lines has a lot to do with it.

The hill is no dought very challenging, But I'd try it.
